About Me.
My name is Will Carspecken. I am a painter, writer, photographer and physician who splits my time between Cheyenne, WY and Denver, CO. Over the last several decades, I have sold my paintings to a variety of collectors, ran a design firm called NKOC Design LLC and have exhibited my work across the United States. I paint interpretations dreams and concepts that relate to my work as a physician, scientist and writer. I will do paintings on commission for private buyers at the email address below. My art can be purchased on this website with free shipping domestically within 7-10 days, and I will ship commissioned paintings globally upon inquiry. All sales final upon purchase.

For nearly a decade, I have worked as a physician scientist in the United States selling paintings and publishing peer reviewed research. I did my fellowship in neuroscience and neurosurgical anesthesiology at the University of Pennsylvania and anesthesiology residency training at the University of Washington where I was a Bonica Scholar. My work has been published in major journals, and I have sold my paintings to private buyers in both Philadelphia and Seattle during my training. You can find my publications on Pubmed through the National Library of Medicine.

As a medical student and a graduate student in biomedical engineering, I studied art at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA as well as sold my original canvas paintings to private buyers at Harvard. As a Knox Fellow, I studied art at the Ashmolean Museum near Worcester College while a student at Oxford University. I also studied classical painting in Paris while on abroad rotations in oncology and neuro-intensive critical care at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital.
